Terms and Conditions


Responsibility for Providing Requested Documents: By clicking the submit button, I understand and acknowledge that my signature does not mean that the GAP Administration Department will gather the requested documents for me. I acknowledge that I am responsible for obtaining and submitting any necessary claim documentation to the GAP Administration Department. My submission allows and authorizes: (1) my financial institution to release to the GAP Administration Department a detailed payment history, payoff quote, and finance agreement; (2) my insurance company to release to the GAP Administration Department the Insurance Documents referenced herein; (3) the GAP Administration Department to notify my selling dealer that I suffered a total loss of my vehicle; (4) the processing of my personal and/or sensitive information, and (5) the GAP Administration Department to cancel my GAP Addendum on my behalf, to the extent doing so is in my financial interest. I further acknowledge that additional documents may be requested during the processing of my claim. I understand that failure to submit the required documents or additional requested documents may cause a delay in the processing of my claim. If I wish to opt out of the processing of my personal and/or sensitive information, I will submit my opt out request to privacy@jmagroup.com.

Consent to Email and Text Messages: I understand that clicking below I am submitting my electronic signature and consenting to receive updates about my claim and marketing via both email and text message sent by an automatic dialing system at the telephone number entered above. I understand that consent is not required as a condition of purchase.

Deadline Within Which to Provide Documents and Complete Claim: I understand that there is a time restriction in which to submit my GAP Claim and that I must submit the completed claim information form and all requested documents within ninety (90) days of the Total Loss Settlement or within ninety (90) days from the Date of Loss if the vehicle is not insured, whichever is later, or my claim will be denied.

Disclosures

  1. Subject to the terms of your GAP Plan, including specific limitations and exclusions. You will be responsible for any amounts not waived. Please refer to your GAP Plan for specific details.
  2. GAP is an optional, add-on product and is not required for you to obtain financing for the purchase or lease of a vehicle.
  3. Amount owed may not include missed payments, payment extensions, deferred payments, accrued interest, late fees, disposition fees, penalty fees, early termination fees or finance charges incurred after the date of loss.
  4. Adjustments for contract exclusion examples may include differences in vehicle valuations. For example, if the insurance company’s valuation of the vehicle is less than 90% of the NADA value, the difference between the insurance company valuation and 90% of the NADA value. e.g. NADA values your vehicle at $10,000 and the insurance company values your vehicle at $8,500. Since 90% of $10,000 is $9,000, the difference between $9,000 and $8,500 (which is $500) will not be included in the waiver amount and remains your responsibility.
  5. Refundable products may include, but are not limited to, vehicle service contracts, pre-paid maintenance, or tire and wheel coverage.
  6. Contact your insurance carrier if you have questions on how the value of your vehicle was determined, it is okay to negotiate.
